Spring Has Arrived

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 22, 2010, 6:27 PM

As Have I =p
I've only just recently have gotten back to my home state of New York. Texas was great and served as a nice little escape from the seasonal lake-effect snow we get up here every Winter. I even got the chance to visit the Houston Zoo (twice!). Despite all the children, and mishaps I’m sure you can imagine; it was truly an amazing experience. I was even fortunate enough to speak with the two cheetah keepers about their careers, and the path they took to get to where they are now. A career outdoors, living your life alongside animals certainly sounds good to me.

I’m planning on making a trip up to Buffalo, NY to visit their zoo as well. After speaking with another local photographer, he says the zoo is kept in tip top shape for photography. Clean glass and great exhibits. Did I mention they have not one, but two Snow Leopards? Look forward to seeing some shots once it warms up again.

Think Green :earth:
Spring is here for the majority of us living in the Northern Hemisphere. Now more than ever is a great time to start thinking green and start using a reusable bottle for all of your thirst quenching needs. Eastern Mountain Sports sells Nalgene 32 Oz. bottles for under ten bucks American. Not only are these bottles BPA free, made in the USA, and recyclable; but they also save a lot of plastic opposed to buying water/soda at the nearest gas station. That, and they’re better for your health and your wallet. The pros truly outweigh any cons (none of which come to mind).

Thank You! :manhug:
I hope for all my readers to have a great Spring. (or whichever season you may be experiencing) Leave any comments you wish. I do appreciate all feedback on all of my journals and deviations. While I may not spend a lot of time here, every little message I get puts a smile on my face.
